- A treatment system was built in a zipper manufactory in Jiaxing for the wastewater containing high concentrations of phosphorus and heavy metals such as copper, zinc and chromium, produced from oil-removing, cleaning and color fixing processes. Phosphorus, copper and zinc were removed by two-stage coagulation-precipitation treatment process, and chromium was removed through reduction reaction and neutralizing precipitation process. The effluent quality of the wastewater treatment system could reach the requirements of level Ⅲ in -Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB 8978-1996) as well as Indirect Discharge for Emission Limitation of Nitrogen and Phosphorus for Industrial Wastewater (DB 33/887-2013). Designing parameters of main structures and equipment were introduced, which could be used as reference for similar projects.
