Treatment of Emulsion Liquid Wastewater by a Combined Process of Ultrafiltration/UASB/Contact Oxidation

- Abstract:
- The combined process of pH adjustment tank, ultrafiltration, UASB, contact oxidation was used to treat emulsion liquid wastewater, with the capacity of 60 m3/d. The result of the project operation showed that when the influent concentrations of COD, SS and petroleum were about 50 000 mg/L, 1 000 mg/L and 20 000 mg/L respectively, the effluent concentrations of COD, SS and petroleum were reduced to 405 mg/L, 27 mg/L and 16 mg/L respectively. The effluent quality not only met the design effluent requirements, but also met the third level of Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard(GB 8978-1996), which benefited the subsequent further treatment of the wastewater treatment plant.
