- To ensure the safety of urban drainage is one of the important contents of sponge city construction. Based on the natural background, Ningbo Cicheng New Town explores the construction path of sustainable development, and scientifically constructs the drainage and waterlogging prevention system of “source emission reduction, process control, as well as end regulation and storage”. Through the layout of road and channel bioretention zone, as well as the control of total annual runoff of new projects, the peak source runoff was reduced. According to the 20-year flood control standard, through reasonable vertical organization and the construction of ecological storage space of the central lake, the balance of excess runoff storage and drainage was realized. The downstream drainage pressure during rainfall was greatly reduced, and the urban drainage safety was guaranteed.
