Abstract:
The United States, Japan and Germany were taken as the regionally representative developed countries implementing longterm CSO control. The development history, main policies and strategies of combined sewer system retrofit and overflows control in these counties were summarized and analyzed. The commonness and differences of the understanding of CSO issues, strategies alternatives and technical strategy selection in different countries were discussed, so as to provide reference for CSO control under the characteristics of combined sewer system in different regions of China.
