- Abstract:
- In order to explore the effect of nitrogen-containing organic compounds on formation of inorganic chloramines under prechlorination conditions for micro-polluted raw water, seven typical nitrogen-containing organic compounds were firstly selected, typical regional surface water quality models and prechlorination process conditions were referred, and a static chlorination simulation test method was adopted, and effect of each individual compound concentration on formation of inorganic chloramines generated by reaction of ammonia nitrogen and chlorine was investigated. Then, effects of total nitrogen-containing organic compounds on the reaction of ammonia nitrogen and chlorine were investigated under the conditions of actual micro-polluted raw water. Under the same designed experimental conditions, for the reaction of ammonia nitrogen and chlorine, there was a certain inhibition effect on the formation of inorganic chloramines when one of the seven compounds existed. The greater the concentration of the nitrogen-containing organic compounds, the less monochloramine was formed. Under the simulated conditions of actual micro-polluted raw water, the production of inorganic chloramines was greatly reduced when seven kinds of nitrogen-containing organic compounds were present.
