- Abstract:
- Ganluxi Park is one of the landmark green space projects in the sponge city construction pilot area of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city. The objective of the original plan focused on the landscape function, and its technical pertinence was not sufficient compared with the construction requirements of sponge city in coastal saline alkali areas. Given that Ganluxi Park was surrounded by roads, the sponge construction objectives of pollution control and road runoff utilization was defined. Accordingly, the original scheme is respectively set up in two independent landscape ponds on both sides of the park and connected by ecological ditches. The water circulation and dispersed-type small stormwater purification ponds are added along the way, thus the landscape water system with multiple sections was formed. The pond on the east side is set up as a platform-type wet pond according to the topography. After the completion of the project, the regional human settlements have been fundamentally improved. According to the rainfall measurements from April to August 2019, the maximum daily rainfall of 55.6 mm can be absorbed by the sponge facility system in the park, and on average 81.6% of SS and 77.7% of COD were removed from runoff of the surrounding roads, which basically realizes the requirements of the sponge city construction project.
