- The waste gas in the process of waste plastic granulation uses water absorption as pretreatment, which will produce high concentration of refractory organic wastewater. First, the floating oil and suspended solids in the water are removed by air flotation, next they are pretreated by Fenton oxidation to improve their biochemical performance, then they are treated by UASB and contact oxidation process, and finally part of ammonia nitrogen is removed by sodium hypochlorite. The effluent quality reaches the receiving standard of the sewage plant in the industrial park, i.e. COD≤350 mg/L, NH3-N≤50 mg/L, methylbenzene≤0.2 mg/L. The results of project commissioning show that the average removal rates of COD, NH3-N and methylbenzene are 96.1%, 89.9% and 99.8% respectively, which is feasible in technology and economy.
