- The treatment capacity of a wastewater treatment plant in an industrial park in Wuxi is 2.5×104 m3/d, in which the effluent water quality is required to meet quasi-Ⅳ standard of surface water. Influent of the wastewater treatment plant is mainly printing and dyeing wastewater, which has the characteristics of low B/C ratio, high dissolve and refractory COD, high chromaticity and low NH3-N and TN. In response to these problems, separate pretreatment of industrial wastewater and domestic wastewater, transformation of Carrousel oxidation ditch by A/O process and addition of ozone catalyzed oxidation and ultrafiltration in advanced treatment were carried out in the upgrading project. The process after upgrading and reconstruction was as follows: regulating pond, two stage hydrolysis acidification tanks, primary sedimentation tank, A/O tank, secondary sedimentation tank, high efficiency sedimentation tank, cloth media filter, catalytic ozonation system and ultrafiltration. The effluent water quality could reach quasi-Ⅳ limitations of Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002), namely COD≤30 mg/L, BOD5≤6 mg/L, SS≤5 mg/L, NH3-N≤1.5 mg/L, TN≤10 mg/L, TP≤0.3 mg/L and chroma≤30 times. The total investment of the project was 99.522 3 million yuan and the total treatment cost was 3.37 yuan/m3.
