- The policy and current management system of drinking water security in Shanghai are summarized. By combing the standards of drinking water security in Shanghai, the system framework is constructed, the representative local standards were selected from the basic standards, general standards and special standards, and compared with the similar national and industrial standards. The study shows that the local standards play an important supporting role in water quality security, facility security, operation management and digital city construction of drinking water safety in Shanghai. Although some standards are not revised in time and there are gaps in emergency security, the overall system is relatively complete with the characteristics of adjusting measures to local conditions, complete coverage and in-depth elaboration in four parts: water quantity quota, water source protection, secondary water supply and water affairs model construction. In particular, in the past seven years, the formulation of standards and the release of policies and regulations have a fast response in terms of time, and there is a strong correlation between various standards, which is worth learning from other cities.
