- Titanium dioxide/graphene oxide (TiO2/GO) and magnetic titanium dioxide/graphene oxide (magnetic TiO2/GO) composite catalysts were prepared and applied to treat landfill leachate. The effects of mass ratio of TiO2 to GO, catalyst dosage and reaction time on COD removal efficiency of the composite catalyst were investigated, and the composite catalyst was characterized by SEM, XRD, VSM and FTIR. The magnetic TiO2/GO composite catalyst had a rough surface, high purity and good magnetic recovery performance. The removal efficiency of COD reached the maximum of 65.35% under the following conditions: the mass ratio of TiO2 to GO was 5∶1, the mass ratio of catalyst dosage to COD in landfill leachate was 0.8 and the reaction time was 3 h. At this time, COD in the effluent was 1 774 mg/L, and the biodegradability (BOD5/COD) was increased from 0.20 to 0.45.
