- Polyaluminum chloride is currently the most widely used high?efficiency coagulant. The implementation of the new national standard of Polyaluminum Chloride for Treatment of Drinking Water (GB 15892-2020) will have a far-reaching impact on the polyaluminum chloride industry. In this regard, the impact of Standard for Hygienic Safety Evaluation of Chemicals Used in Drinking Water Treatment (2001) on the implementation of the new standard was analyzed firstly. Secondly, the way to reasonably formulate and effectively supervise the national standard in China was discussed combining with the impact of the new standard on the polyaluminum chloride production industry. Finally, the development of the polyaluminum chloride industry was prospected.
