- Abstract:
- Taking metakaolin base polymer as the basic skeleton, zeolite molecular sieve (type of MK-GP) with crystal structure was prepared by hydrothermal polymerization. The adsorbent was characterized and applied to adsorb low concentration of ammonia nitrogen wastewater, and the removal characteristics of low concentration of ammonia nitrogen by MK-GP zeolite molecular sieve were investigated. When the ammonia nitrogen concentration was 5-7 mg/L, the adsorption of MK-GP zeolite molecular sieve fitted well with the quasi?second?order kinetic model. The adsorption thermodynamic parameters ΔH and ΔS were 4.181 9 kJ/mol and 0.015 6 J/(mol·K) when the temperature was 298 K, indicating that the removal of ammonia nitrogen by MK-GP zeolite molecular sieve was a spontaneous endothermic reaction. Therefore, the studies proposed a new green and environmental material for low?concentration ammonia nitrogen wastewater treatment.
