- Abstract:
- To investigate the microbial community and diversity in anaerobic treatment of low-phosphorus brewery wastewater, the anaerobic sludge obtained from a special low-phosphorus wastewater treatment process of a brewery in Benxi was inoculated in a laboratory-scale UASB, and the bacterial and archaeal communities of the cultivated anaerobic sludge for low-phosphorus wastewater treatment were analyzed by high-throughput sequencing. It took approximately 60 days for the UASB system from start-up to stabilization, and the COD removal efficiency was above 70%. The dominant bacterial genera of the sludge in the system were Chlorobium, Longilinea, Methanothrix, Levilinea, etc., and the dominant archaea were Methanothrix and Methanobacterium. Compared with other conventional anaerobic sludge, the relative abundance of sulfur-oxidizing bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria in the anaerobic sludge for low-phosphorus brewery wastewater treatment was higher, which were the dominant bacteria.
