- The rapid development of industry leads to increasingly serious Cu2+ pollution. To reduce Cu2+ contamination, a new type of multilayer adsorption material, namely magnetic chitosan cross-linked zeolite (FS-CS), was prepared through the combined effect of zeolite and magnetic nano-Fe3O4 to improve the adsorption performance of chitosan, so as to achieve the purpose of Cu2+ removal. The structure and property of FS-CS were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrometer (SEM-EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and the effects of FS-CS dosage, adsorption time and pH on Cu2+ adsorption were investigated. The adsorption mechanism was discussed by means such as adsorption kinetics and adsorption thermodynamics. The maximum adsorption capacity of FS-CS was up to 32.705 mg/g, the optimal initial pH was 5 and the optimal adsorption time was 4 h, and FS-CS had good separation and regeneration ability. The adsorption process of Cu2+ by FS-CS conformed to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model, and the adsorption isotherm conformed to the Freundlich adsorption model.
