- A new treatment facility with a treatment capacity of 1×104 m3/d has built in a wastewater treatment plant in north China, and the effluent quality is required to meet the surface water quasi class V standard. It only took 29 days to complete the construction of wastewater treatment facilities and realized wastewater treatment by using BFM fabricated structure. After 7 days of operation, the effluent quality reached the discharge standard, which solved the problems such as limited footprint area, short construction time and high stability requirements. After the completion of the project, the unit occupied area was only 0.142 m2/(m3·d-1). The effluent quality was stable and better than the design standard. The TN in effluent from BFM was guaranteed to be lower than 5 mg/L through the regulation of carbon source in post-anoxic zone of pure MBBR. BFM fabricated structure has the advantages of intensive, compact, efficient, stable, economic and time-saving, which provides a new idea for the upgrading and expansion of wastewater treatment plant.
