- The total scale of a new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Zhengzhou is 10×104 m3/d, and it is all-underground. The effluent COD should meet level Ⅲ of Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002), that is, COD≤20 mg/L. Two-stage activated coke adsorption is used as advanced treatment unit in the WWTP. The layout, design parameters, operation sequence of the two?stage activated coke adsorption tank and chamber are elaborated, which can provide reference for other similar projects.
