- Abstract:
- A water treatment plant was built on the top of Shigu Mountain in Tengqiao Town, Lucheng District to solve the problem of water supply for industrial parks, streets and towns in the western area of Wenzhou City and realize the integration of urban and rural water supply. After the mountaintop-removal treatment, the area of the mountaintop was suitable for the land use of the water treatment plant, and the elevation of the mountaintop was consistent with the head of the water supply system, which formed a height difference of 21 m with the water intake of Zeya Reservoir. Therefore, the gravitational flow of water intaking/distribution and energy saving were realized through the water transmission and distribution aided by the elevation of the water treatment plant, which greatly reduced the costs of project construction and water supply. The scale of the water treatment plant is 20×104 m3/d, and the scale of the phase I project is 10×104 m3/d. The enhanced conventional treatment process with integrated design of the structures was adopted to save the footprint area. The supporting systems included 5.43 km of DN1 200 raw water transmission pipe, 2.35 km of DN1 000 water transmission pipe, and 16.13 km of corresponding water distribution pipe, and the design of zigzag uphill roads was adopted to ensure traffic safety. In the water distribution system, the Yangyi and Shuangyu water supply network was formed through the construction of 1.6 km arch tunnel with the size of 2.60 m×2.85 m and laying water transmission pipe. The phase I project has been in stable operation for 2.5 years, and the effluent quality is better than the limit specified in Standards for Drinking Water Quality (GB 5749-2006).
