Abstract:
The integrated Anammox process has become a research hot spot due to its cost-effective and energy-positive advantages of low oxygen and carbon source consumption, occupied area, sludge production and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission in recent years. Firstly, the principles and characteristics of integrated Anammox processes are introduced, and the type of integrated Anammox processes are summarized including the nitrogen removal efficiency and operation parameters of typical processes and novel processes. Then, the technical and economical characteristics of the integrated Anammox process are compared. Finally, the shortage, feasibility and application prospects of integrated Anammox processes are analyzed and prospected.
