- Abstract:
- DigitalWater Simulation River (DWR) is a management tool for visual modeling and surface water dynamic simulation based on DigitalWater simulation platform. Through the deep integration of GIS technology and numerical simulation technology of watershed water environment, the simulation of hydrodynamics from one-dimension to three-dimensional, heat exchange, mass transport (including salinity and tracer), water quality, water ecology, sediment and toxic in surface waters such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs and estuaries can be realized. This system can support users to effectively predict and evaluate the environmental impact of surface water, estimate the water environmental capacity, evaluate the emission impact of pollution source of construction projects, determine the scope of water environmental protection, and calculate ecological flow, etc. It provides a localized tool for the comprehensive management of watershed water environment in China. This paper provides a detailed introduction to the DWR system from three aspects:software function, system characteristics and advantages, and application modes.
