- Abstract:
- In view of the poor coagulation sedimentation performance of algae-containing supersaturated dissolved oxygen water, this paper investigated the ability of blast aeration to drive away supersaturated dissolved oxygen from algae-containing water, and analyzed the treatment effect of aerated gas-driven coagulation sedimentation process. The supersaturated dissolved oxygen produced by algae photosynthesis aggregated into bubbles on the surface of the flocculants, provided buoyancy for the flocs, affected the sedimentation performance of the flocs, and even floated to form scum. The blast aeration drove away the supersaturated dissolved oxygen well. The shallower water depth led to the faster driving rate. When the aeration rate was 9 L/min and the water depth was between 1.5 m and 3 m, the aerated driving rate was in the range of 2.71-1.22 mg/L (supersaturated dissolved oxygen driven by standard air per unit volume). The effluent quality was greatly improved when the algae-containing supersaturated dissolved oxygen raw water was first aerated and then coagulated and settled. When the dissolved oxygen saturation of algae-containing raw water was 156.8%, 131.4% and 102.7%, the turbidity of coagulation sedimentation effluent was 12.40 NTU, 5.85 NTU and 3.76 NTU, the removal rates of CODMn reached 18.2%, 29.3% and 40.4%, and the removal rates of chlorophyll-a reached 15.0%, 45.5% and 54.9%, respectively.
