- Abstract:
- This paper set up five monitoring points along the Tianjin trunk line to investigate the plankton communities in the box culvert of South-to-North Water Diversion Project from November 2018 to December 2019, so as to analyze the temporal and spatial variation of plankton community in the water body. A total of 4 phyla and 38 genera of phytoplankton were identified. Among them, 17 genera of Chlorophyta accounted for 44.7% of the total genera, and Bacillariophyta contributed the most to phytoplankton density. Achnanthes and Cymbella were the dominant genera of phytoplankton with the highest annual occurrence. Among the zooplankton, there were 1 genus and 1 species of Copepoda, 5 genera and 7 species of Cladocera, and 11 genera and 13 species of rotifers. The dominant species was Sinocalanus dorrii. In addition, the overall water quality of Tianjin trunk line was evaluated based on the phytoplankton community, abundance and diversity index. The overall nutritional status of Tianjin trunk line was poor to medium trophic type, and the degree of pollution belonged to the type of oligopollution-moderate pollution. The spatial and temporal variation characteristics of the plankton community in the water body were analyzed, and the causes of the variation were discussed.
