- Taking into account the common issues with traditional municipal drainage maintenance, such as the absence of scientific guidance for planning, the lack of standardized on-site operations, the inadequate supervision of operation safety, and the absence of reliable measurement of maintenance costs， etc. This paper optimized the maintenance process of traditional drainage facilities by combing with relevant urban drainage pipe and canal maintenance standards, smart water management characteristics and various users’ business needs. A new mode of information management about municipal drainage maintenance base on full life cycle management strategy was also proposed, as well as targeted system function design and application were conducted. The results indicated that the system is in good application condition, and is well-suited for the maintenance and management of the urban drainage pipe network. It plays a significant role in enhancing the overall operation and maintenance level of the urban drainage pipe network.
