- Abstract:
- The Penaeus vannamei aquaculture wastewater has the characteristics of high salinity, large discharge amount, and high nitrate nitrogen. In response to the requirements of Discharge Standard of Water from Aquaculture Ponds (DB 32/4043-2021) in Jiangsu Province, an aquaculture park uses the improved three tanks and two dams process to treat aquaculture wastewater, which is based on the traditional combined process of sedimentation tank, filter dam, aeration tank, filter dam, and biological purification tank. The residence time of the sedimentation tank is optimized and the filtering and interception effect of biological brushes is utilized to enhance the sedimentation effect. A filter dam filled with modified composite biochar filter material is used to further adsorb and intercept SS in the wastewater. The addition of advantageous salt tolerant Bacillus improved the activity of biological agent in the aeration tank to ensure the removal of TN and organic matter. The application results show that the removal rates of COD, TN, TP and SS in the Penaeus vannamei aquaculture wastewater are 68.78%, 87.35%, 58.06% and 78.85%, respectively. All indicators meet the discharge standard requirements, providing a reference for the wastewater treatment of Penaeus vannamei aquaculture industry.
