- Abstract:
- To address the conflict between land scarcity and project construction, this paper presented a case study of an initial rainwater storage tank project in central Shanghai, and proposed the layout of the shaft initial rainwater storage tank and the inlet shaft, along with detailed schemes for tank cleaning, ventilation, deodorization, and emptying. The storage tank utilized a fully underground cylindrical shaft structure, with a storage capacity of 4 700 m3, an internal diameter of 15 m, and a depth of 33.80 m. For inflow energy dissipation, a spiral-step drop system was employed, while intelligent ejectors installed at the bottom of the tank facilitated washing and desilting operations. The deodorization process consisted of three processes: washing, ion deodorization and chemical adsorption. The main structure of the vertical shaft adopted mechanized assembly of prefabricated pipe segments. This design can serve as a reference for constructing initial rainwater storage tanks in central urban areas and old districts of large cities facing land scarcity.
