- Abstract:
- The structure, performance, and industrial application effect of domestically produced acrylic acid magnetic anion exchange resin (CMIET) were compared and analyzed against those of imported acrylic acid magnetic anion exchange resin (MIEX). Both resins utilizing γ-Fe2O3 as the magnetic component exhibited ferromagnetic properties and self-adsorption sedimentation characteristics. Both resins possessed a microporous structure. However, the surface of CMIET exhibited a porous and rough morphology, providing abundant adsorption sites. Additionally, CMIET demonstrated superior performance compared to MIEX in the removal of tannic acid (TA) as well as inorganic anions such as PO43- and NO3-. The magnetic properties and particle size of the two resins exhibited minimal change before and after application. In industrial operations with identical water quality conditions, both resins were capable of forming stable bed layers within the water treatment system. However, CMIET demonstrated superior performance compared to MIEX in terms of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) removal. In summary, CMIET offers dual advantages of superior structural performance and reduced operating costs.
