- Abstract:
- The recent engineering design for a wastewater treatment plant in Beijing has a capacity scale of 7×104 m3/d. Before formal operation, the wastewater within the plant’s service area was discharged into an existing reclaimed water plant in the adjacent region, with primary pollutant indicators conforming to the characteristics of urban wastewater quality. Through the mathematical analysis of the actual influent quality of the existing reclaimed water plant, the design influent quality was determined by adopting the “90% coverage value”. The wastewater treatment plant adopted a fully underground layout. The primary wastewater treatment process utilized the “multi-stage enhanced AAO + deep bed filter” system, while the sludge treatment employed the “thickening and dewatering + plate and frame” process. The moisture content of the treated sludge was reduced to less than 60%. The design effluent quality shall conform to the B limit specified in a local standard of Beijing Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (DB 11/890-2012), thereby serving as a reference for the process design of similar wastewater treatment plants.
