- Abstract:
- Zhuhai City, a typical coastal river network city, is home to numerous rivers. The scope of a specific sewage pipeline network project in Lianzhou Town, Doumen District, encompasses seven rivers. A total of fourteen sewage pipeline crossings are involved, including five pipeline jacking constructions, three directional drilling constructions, and six overhead crossings with piers. To successfully pass the flood control evaluation review and obtain government approval, this paper discussed two critical aspects of the sewage pipeline crossing river construction plan: the river-crossing burial depth and the site selection for inspection wells on both sides of the embankment. A comprehensive comparison and analysis of multiple relevant technical standards and regulations from both the municipal and water conservancy industries was conducted. Under the river flood control standards corresponding to a 20-year or 50-year return period, the InfoWorks ICM river hydraulic model was utilized to perform hydraulic calculations, including water level, flow rate, and scouring depth of the river channel. This analysis provides key considerations in the design of sewage pipeline crossing river project, offering valuable references for similar projects.
