- To address severe heavy metal contamination in sediment from the Songshan Lake area of Dongyin canal basin in Dongguan and the high secondary pollution risks of traditional disposal methods, this study proposes an integrated process chain of screening-mechanical dehydration-solidification and stabilization. By adding a compound reagent (IR+CMC, mass ratio 9.5%∶0.5%), chromium leaching concentration was reduced by 57%-93% (100 μg/L). A multi-stage pressure filtration system was developed to lower the moisture content of dewatered sludge cakes to below 40%. Engineering applications demonstrated that 670 000 m3 of contaminated sediment was treated, with 70% converted into greening soil (organic matter ≥5%) and engineering backfill soil (bearing capacity ≥ 80 kPa), achieving an 18.7% sand resource recovery rate and 100% tailwater reuse. Technical-economic analysis revealed a 30% reduction in treatment costs compared to traditional landfilling, along with 20%-30% land resource savings.
