Abstract:
Ductile iron pipes are widely used in domestic water supply projects. Referencing the international standard for the Life Cycle Analysis and Recycling of Ductile Iron Pipes for Water Applications (ISO 21053:2019), the whole life cycle cost (LCC) of ductile iron pipe for water supply is proposed. Based on application data from ductile iron pipe engineering projects in China, the calculation methods and key parameters of procurement cost, operation cost, network leakage and accident repair cost, and end-of-life cost within LCC calculation are clarified, so as to enhances the scientific accuracy and reliability of LCC calculations for ductile iron pipes, and provides reference for LCC calculation of other types of water supply pipe.
