Abstract:
Based on the identification of key issues in waterlogging remediation within the plain river network areas of the Pearl River Delta, this study explores the flood control countermeasures of vertical elevation-stormwater pipe network-water level control-water surface ratio with multi-disciplinary collaboration and multi-factor balance. It proposes a technical method for determining the water level control and appropriate water surface ratio (water storage capacity) based on vertical constraints. This method has been applied to the waterlogging prevention and control in the Dongchong East drainage sub-district of Nansha, so as to provide a beneficial solution for the waterlogging prevention and control in plain river network areas.
