- There are some problems in the inlet pump room of a municipal sewage treatment plant, such as large fluctuation of water level and high energy consumption. Based on historical operating data and parameter calibration, this study significantly reduces the energy consumption of the pump unit by optimizing the water volume adjustment range of the lifting pump unit and setting reasonable sequential control boundary conditions. On this basis, the sequential control logic was integrated into the automatic control system, effectively reducing manual intervention. The results showed that after the implementation of optimization measures, the average electricity consumption of the pump unit was reduced to 0.047 kW·h/m3, a year-on-year decrease of 12.96% compared to the average electricity consumption of 0.054 kW·h/m3 before implementation. The period in the optimal liquid level range increased from 54.47% before implementation to 86.31%. In addition, the sequential control can better adapt to the tiered electricity pricing policy and achieve sustainable development.
