- Abstract:
- Taking a selected area in Jingwei Town, Gaoling District, Xi’an City as a case study, this research employed the GAST-SWMM coupled model for numerical simulation. Based on layout principles, the area ratio of low impact development (LID) facilities and three layout schemes were determined. The drainage capacity of the existing rainwater system in the study area was analyzed, and a comprehensive comparison of LID facility layout schemes was conducted to achieve the goal of mitigating waterlogging risk. Results showed that the current rainwater system suffered from insufficient drainage capacity. Under a 2-year recurrence period rainfall event, 60.94% of nodes and 90.00% of pipe sections were overloaded, leading to a ponding area of 45.645 4×104 m2. Three LID facility layout schemes were proposed and evaluated using the analytic hierarchy process from three perspectives: water quantity regulation, economic cost, and environmental benefit. The comprehensive benefit scores of the three schemes were 0.503 5, 0.565 4, and 0.536 8, respectively. Hence, scheme Ⅱ comprising 7% permeable pavement, 13% sunken green space, and 7% rain garden, was identified as the optimal scheme.
