- Abstract:
- The wastewater treatment plant in Xi’an has a total treatment capacity of 400 000 m3/d, the process of which consists of pre?treatment, A/A/O biochemical reaction tank, fiber disc filter, and contact disinfection. Located near the Olympic Sports Center and other venues, the plant is situated in a sensitive environmental area. The upgrading project will improve the effluent standard from the first level A of Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB 18918-2002) to the quasi-Ⅳ standard of Environmental Qualiy Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002), while also implementing odor control measures. The A/A/O process will be upgraded to the five-stage Bardenpho process, with a redefined functional zoning. Advanced treatment will employ a high-efficiency sedimentation tank + V-type filter + ozone contact tank process. Since its completion and operation, the plant has consistently met effluent quality standards. Measures such as odor control and optimized landscape design have alleviated the NIMBY effect.
