- Abstract:
- To resolve the chronic compliance challenges of a 30 000 m3/d industrial park wastewater treatment facility regarding increasingly rigorous discharge limits for COD, TN, and TP, an integrated treatment strategy incorporating “sulfur autotrophic denitrification + modified Fenton + activated coke adsorption” technologies was implemented for process enhancement. Operational evaluations revealed that the multi-stage treatment configuration demonstrated robust operational stability and process adaptability in industrial park wastewater remediation applications, achieving notable performance in treatment efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and system resilience. The six-month continuous water quality monitoring data indicate that, under conditions where the average concentrations of COD, TN, and TP in influent of the upgrading and renovation project were 102.0 mg/L, 13.56 mg/L, and 0.91 mg/L, respectively, the average concentrations of COD, TN, and TP in the effluent were 25.6 mg/L, 8.15 mg/L, and 0.09 mg/L, respectively, meeting the class Ⅳ thresholds stipulated in Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002) and Work Plan of “Dual Zero and One Upgrade” for Urban Drainage in Shandong Province regulatory targets. The competitive operational expenditure is 1.8 CNY/m3.
