- The Huayang water purification plant, with a treatment capacity of 180 000 m3/d, is an underground wastewater treatment facility. The treatment process employs a combination of “pretreatment, a multi-mode A2O bioreactor, a high-density sedimentation tank, and a denitrification deep-bed filter”. For odor control, a combined process of “bio-in-situ deodorization system + biofilter treatment + activated carbon adsorption” is adopted. Furthermore, to effectively prevent odor escape, only air-intake shafts are installed in the upper park area, all ventilation from the underground space is centrally collected and discharged through an organized exhaust system. Since commissioning, the wastewater treatment plant has consistently produced effluent that meets Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Minjiang and Tuojiang River Basins in Sichuan Province (DB51/2311-2016). All odor-related pollutant indicators at the wastewater treatment plant boundary comply with the first level standard specified in Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB 18918-2002), and boundary noise levels are controlled below 50 dB(A).
