- Abstract:
- In response to challenges such as land resource scarcity and the prominent NIMBY effect during urbanization, a newly constructed wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Zhongshan, with a design capacity of 3.0×104 m3/d, has pioneered an innovative aluminum alloy prefabricated construction model integrating public building?oriented principles. The process includes pretreatment, modified AAO bioreactor, vertically integrated modular secondary sedimentation tank, high?efficiency sedimentation tank, cloth media filter, and ultraviolet disinfection, all arranged through integrated design. As a result, the land occupation reaches only 0.42 m2/(m3·d-1), representing a approximately 60% land saving compared with conventional schemes. Through public building?oriented design, the plant boundary is visually softened, and combined with landscape integration, noise control, and deodorization measures, harmony with the surrounding environment is achieved. The core treatment units are constructed using high?precision aluminum alloy modules with assembly tolerance of ±1 mm, reducing the construction period by over 60%. By adopting treatment unit grouping and bypass operation modes, the effluent quality is ensured to stably meet the more stringent requirements between the first level A limit specified in Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB 18918-2002) and the first level limit (second period) in Discharge Limits of Water Pollutants (DB44/26-2001) of Guangdong Province. This project has broken through the limitations of traditional construction modes. Its process characteristics, such as low head loss and low energy consumption, along with the environmentally friendly design concept, provide valuable reference for the efficient construction of land?saving WWTPs.
