- Automatic moving-cloth filter press demonstrates outstanding sludge dewatering performance, short working cycles, rapid automatic sludge discharge, efficient automatic cleaning, energy- saving operation, and unmanned operation characteristics. In a practical application at a municipal wastewater treatment plant, the equipment processed concentrated residual sludge with moisture content below 97%. By adding conditioning agents at different ratios, the study investigated both the treatment capacity per cycle and the moisture content of dewatered sludge cakes. Research results indicate that when using polyaluminum chloride(PAC) as the sludge conditioner with the weight ratio of active agent components to dry sludge(DS) weight is 2.0% and 2.5%, the automatic moving-cloth filter press achieves optimal performance. Under these conditions, the treatment capacity reaches 2.39 kgDS/(m2·h),2.51 kgDS/(m2·h) respectively, while consistently maintaining the moisture content of sludge cakes below 55%.
