- With the growing demand for ensuring the safety of urban water supply quality, real- time monitoring and emergency response capabilities have become crucial. In this study, a portable water quality analyzer was developed based on ion chromatography technology, aiming to solve the problem of rapid detection of water quality in urban water supply. Comprehensive performance tests were carried out in laboratory environments and under extreme conditions, such as a high temperature of 45 ℃ and a low temperature of -15 ℃. The results indicated that the analyzer’s key performance remains stable in high and low temperature environments, with excellent detection accuracy and on-site applicability, thus being able to meet various detection requirements. Tests on actual water samples further verified its precise detection capability for ionic components in water. Meanwhile, in response to the need for rapid detection of perchlorate in drinking water, a portable ion chromatography detection method was established. Through systematic optimization of parameters such as column type, eluent formula, and flow rate, it was determined that the optimal conditions for determining perchlorate concentration in water were: a 2 mm AS19 chromatographic column, a KOH eluent concentration of 50 mmol/L, and a flow rate of 0.25 mL/min.Method validation showed that this method had a linear correlation coefficient greater than 0.999, a detection limit of 1.00 μg/L, a quantification limit of 3.50 μg/L, and spike recovery rates ranging from 91.5% to 109.0%, demonstrating high sensitivity and good accuracy. It could provide a strong technical guarantee for emergency monitoring of drinking water safety.
