- Abstract:
- In response to the seasonal fluctuations in the raw water quality of the Hanjiang River and the demand for high-quality water supply, a pilot-scale dual-membrane short-process water treatment system centered on “ceramic ultrafiltration + nanofiltration” was established. The study comparatively analyzed the treatment efficiency, carbon emission intensity, and operational costs of different process combinations incorporating pretreatment options such as pre-ozonation, pre-chlorination, and continuous ozone oxidation. The results indicated that the process train of “pre-ozonation-coagulation-sedimentation-ceramic ultrafiltration-nanofiltration-disinfection” effectively addresses the seasonal variability in Hanjiang River water quality. It achieved a permanganate index removal rate of ≥98%, near- complete removal of POPs, a PPCPs removal rate exceeding 79%, and removal rates of over 50% for both EDCs and PFCs. The removal of the typical odor compound 2-MIB relied primarily on the nanofiltration unit, achieving a removal rate of approximately 50%. The effluent TDS was consistently maintained at (130±4) mg/L, effectively ensuring both the taste and biological safety of the water supply. To promote green, low-carbon, and efficient operation, a seasonal adjustment strategy could be implemented. During winter and spring, when the raw water quality is stable, an ultra-short process of “ozonation-ceramic ultrafiltration-nanofiltration-disinfection” can be adopted. Under this operating condition, a synergy between economic and environmental benefits will be achieved.
