For surface drainage asphalt pavement, its drainage capacity is mainly achieved through internal lateral drainage. However, porosity clogging has an adverse impact on the drainage capacity of this pavement. For this reason, the effect of porosity clogging on the lateral drainage capacity of drainage surface was explored through clogging test. In the clogging test, single or mixed particles were added in different grades, the seepage coefficient after clogging was measured successively, and the residual seepage coefficient was used to reflect the effect of porosity clogging on the drainage capacity. The seepage coefficient of drainage asphalt mixture had the fastest attenuation velocity at the beginning of the clogging test, and the attenuation velocity of seepage coefficient gradually slowed down with the increase of the clogging test times. The variation of seepage coefficient of each specimen was related to the particle size of the blockage. PAC13- Ⅰspecimen with low porosity content was easily blocked by large particles with particle size of 0.3-2.36 mm, while PAC13-Ⅱspecimen with high porosity content was easily blocked by small particles with particle size of 0-0.6 mm. According to the final residual seepage coefficient, the anti-clogging ability of the PAC13-Ⅱ specimen was significantly superior to that of the PAC13-Ⅰspecimen.
