- There are rainwater control standards in green building evaluation standards in China and the United States, respectively. The rainwater control modes, indicators and calculation methods proposed by the two countries are different. Considering the increasing popularity of Sino-U.S. double-certified green building evaluations, this paper calculates the design rainfall of 30 representative cities in China using two control modes based on measured rainfall data. Moreover, we compare the difficulty of the scoring on the rainwater control clauses in the two green building evaluation standards, and then give the recommended values of the design rainfall. This work provides a reference for the design of rainwater control system in Sino-U.S. double-certified green building projects.
