- Abstract:
- Microbial community composition is the main factor affecting the performance of granular sludge reactor, and the growth of filamentous bacteria plays an important role in the performance and stability of the granular sludge. Therefore, the variations in microbial community compositions of granular sludge with normal growth and overgrowth of filamentous bacteria were compared and analyzed by high-throughput sequencing. After the overgrowth of filamentous bacteria, the microbial diversity decreased significantly, and there were only 4 identical species in the two kinds of granular sludge at the genus level. When the filamentous bacteria grew normally, the dominant genera were Candidatus_Saccharimonas, Candidatus_Accumulibacter, Thauera and Lewinella, and the dominant genera were Hydrogenophaga, Gemmobacter, Opitutus, Meganema and Pseudoxanthomonas when the filamentous bacteria overgrew, indicating that the microbial community composition changed significantly. With the overgrowth of the filamentous bacteria, the relative abundance of genera with nitrification and phosphorus removal ability decreased to some extent. However, the relative abundance of genera with denitrifying ability increased significantly from 31.29% to 52.99%, and the relative abundance of filamentous bacteria increased from 7.99% to 19.46%, which was consistent with the change of the reactor performance and the sludge characteristics.
