- Abstract:
- “Carbon dioxide emission peak, carbon neutrality” is the hot topic in the sewage treatment field. However, the current related research mainly focuses on energy saving and energy self-sufficiency in urban sewage treatment plants. Research on the composition, sources and emission reduction methods of greenhouse gas emissions from the overall system of urban sewage collection and treatment is relative lack. This paper quantitatively analyzes the total amount and structure of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions from the urban sewage collection and treatment industry in China. The key points and development directions of greenhouse gas emission reduction in the urban sewage treatment industry based on the latest national policies were pointed out.
