Abstract:
Coking wastewater presents a challenging scenario due to its characteristics of high concentration of refractory organic compound, complex composition, high concentration of COD and ammonia nitrogen, and poor biodegradability. Therefore, adopting biological treatment has certain limitations and difficulties. This paper delves into the research advancements of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for coking wastewater treatment. It explores the formation reaction of active free radicals and the mechanism of the treatment of coking wastewater in AOPs. Furthermore, it provides an overview of the current application status and associated challenges of various technologies utilized in coking wastewater treatment. Lastly, it outlines the research prospects for AOPs coupled with biological methods for the treatment of coking wastewater.
