- Abstract:
- The designed treatment capacity of Qige wastewater treatment plant in Hangzhou is 150×104 m3/d, with sludge output of approximately 1 600 t/d (sludge moisture content of 80%). To address the significant disparity in sludge processing capability, the sludge treatment upgrading project was initiated. The sludge underwent dewatering through chemical conditioning followed by plate and frame pressure filtration. After dewatering, sludge could be managed through methods such as incineration or utilization in building materials, effectively achieving the goals of reduction, stabilization, harmlessness, and resource recovery. Currently, the project’s operation is stable, with the sludge water content always below 50%, and a sludge reduction exceeding 50%. The design and operational experience hold significant reference value.
