- Abstract:
- The management of pipeline sediment has emerged as a critical objective in urban water environment governance, with the prediction and simulation of sediment deposition serving as a fundamental prerequisite for effective control. Therefore, a mechanism and data driven hybrid method was employed to simulate the sediment deposition in the combined sewer system. The hybrid model demonstrated a mean square error (MSE) of less than 1%, a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.018 m, and a correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.68, indicating a satisfactory simulation performance. The hybrid model demonstrated high overall computational efficiency, with the simulation of 10-day sediment layer changes achievable at the minute-level timescale. The hybrid model not only alleviates the reliance of the mechanism model on field sampling data, but also compensates for the limited interpretability of data driven models.
