- The equipment performance and engineering application effects of the high-pressure non-thermal deep dewatering and drying technology for municipal sludge were analyzed, and the optimal operating parameters were obtained. The results showed that when the hydraulic system operating pressure of the high-pressure pressing device was controlled at 14 MPa, the total sludge spreading thickness was 2 cm, and the pressing time was 4 hours, the sludge moisture content could be reduced from about 80% to about 45%. When the sludge spreading thickness in the breeze drying silo was controlled at 3 cm, the moisture content could be reduced to 40% after 1 hour. Taking a sewage treatment plant in Lu’an City, Anhui Province as an example, the engineering application results treating 30 t/d of sludge showed that compared with traditional thermal drying and dewatering technology, the operating cost of this high-pressure non-thermal deep dewatering and drying technology was reduced by more than 40%. Moreover, there was non-thermal treatment throughout the entire process, achieving the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction, and responding to the national “dual carbon” strategy.
