- Abstract:
- Under extreme rainfall scenarios, urban roads can temporarily serve as surface drainage channels to rapidly discharge floodwater. However, road drainage may pose safety risks to pedestrians and vehicles, making it necessary to effectively monitor waterlogged road sections. This study aimed to optimize the number and placement of road risk sensing equipment to maximize monitoring coverage. To achieve this, a clustering algorithm was integrated with the SWMM dual-drainage hydraulic model (incorporating both road and pipe network), and a spatiotemporal similarity index for nodes was constructed. By comparing two different spatiotemporal similarity clustering strategies, an optimization model for the layout of urban road drainage risk sensing equipment based on cluster analysis was established. Based on this model, the number of risk-similar clusters was determined, and the cluster centers were selected as installation locations, which significantly improved the scientific rationality and economic efficiency of the deployment of road risk monitoring points. This study provides methodologies and tools to support the safe operation of urban cities.
