- Abstract:
- Nereda process is a proven and reliable aerobic granular sludge technology for wastewater biochemical treatment. With the special internals and operation cycle of the Nereda reactor, the process has excellent performance of simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal. Three municipal sewage plants in Netherlands (Epe, Utrecht and Garmerwolde WWTP), which apply this Nereda technology, are taken as engineering cases to introduce their general situation and actual operation performance of nitrogen and phosphorus removal in detail. Finally, the advantages of Nereda technology and the competitive advantages in application are summarized.
