- Abstract:
- The integration of sponge city concept into urban construction management is a long-term process that requires the establishment of a long-term mechanism. In this study, we focus on Xiamen as our research object and summarizes the management process of sponge city engineering projects in Xiamen. By investigating the challenges in implementing the requirements of sponge city construction, the measures that need to be strengthened in ongoing- and post-supervision of various engineering projects were analyzed based on the “multi-standard integration” information management platform. Moreover, suggestions for a long-term mechanism of sponge city construction were also proposed. This study aims to provide novel insights and ideas for the systematic construction of sponge city in a comprehensive manner, particularly in the context of the new era.
